Plot thickens. Did the transition team have a member strongly suggest to Obama a delay so his own company can have enough time to develop his own technology for the First Responder spectrum that opens up?

Ah the joy of sloppy numbers.

6.5M households becomes 7M, whereas the 6.5 is an old number and likely below 6M now.

And why does Rep. Jared Polis keep saying this is a "one time delay". This is the second delay already.

Ah, yes, but what's 39% of 6/6.5/7 million? Since 61% of stations (according to another link I read ) are turning off on 2/17 regardless, only 39% of the 7 million number are affected.

Acting FCC chair also expects 90% will switch before June 12 if given a delay...

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have our first loser.

Rep. G.K. Butterfield D of NC (sorry Doug) calls for people will need a "digital" antenna because "digital signals" don't travel as far as analog. (Double loser.)
